Whilst venues will all tell you they are the perfect setting for your event, you still need to consider the requirements of your presentation.
For example, in the early hours of this frosty winters morning we put a screen up at a venue with lovely views over the sports ground it's attached to.
But lots of natural light, isn't always a good thing.
The clear sky meant there was nothing to stop the rising sun from washing out the projection screen, only a few minutes before the client wanted to share his slides.
It was only then that the venue staff discovered that the blinds on the windows hadn't been used for so long, several were broken and couldn't be lowered.
There was much consternation and upset, but there's little you can do to turn down the brightness of a class G star.
Always get your AV team to site survey your venue to make sure the technology will work as you want it to.
